In 2014 I was faced with one of the most challenging things – mentally, emotionally and physically - I have ever had to do. I donated my kidney to my younger brother, Matty. He needed a transplant because he developed Kidney Disease from a rare genetic disorder called Nail Patella Syndrome and I was a match. Since our successful donation and recovery, I have spent the past 8 years living my life to the fullest and doing everything I can to prove to the world that you can donate an organ, save someone’s life and still fulfill all of your wildest dreams.


So now, I am super excited to share with you my next challenge: #OneKidneyUpKili. Me and my team will be attempting to summit Mount Kilimanjaro this October -. It’s the largest free-standing mountain in the world – a whopping 19,000 feet! We will do this all while raising funds and awareness for the National Kidney Foundation. I’m going to do my best to get this one kidney up Kili and try to document the entire thing for YOU. Why? Because if me reaching the top of this mountain can inspire even one person to donate a kidney, this will all be a success. Donating is to give the ultimate gift – the gift of life to someone else.
