Hello Friends, Family and Compassionate Supporters!
I am embarking on an extraordinary journey - a 50 mile ultra marathon dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the National Kidney Foundation. My motivation is deeply personal, as my sister, Meghan, is facing challenges of polycystic kidney disorder and is in need of her second kidney transplant.
As many of you know, my sister's battle with this relentless disease has been marked by resilience, courage, and unwavering determination. Witnessing her struggles has ignited a flame within me to make a difference and bring attention to the hardships faced by those affected by kidney diseases.
On May 4th, I will be pushing my physical and mental limits, running 50 miles in the hope that it will shine a spotlight on polycystic kidney disorder and the urgent need for kidney awareness. But this marathon is more than a personal challenge, it's a call to action.
I am pledging not only my time and effort but, pending and evaluation, I am prepared to donate one of my kidneys for my sister. The prospect of being a living kidney donor is a humbling and important commitment, but the love of my sister and the desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others drives me forward.
