Why I Run
Right now, 37 million American adults are living with kidney disease, one of which is my little sister. My sister is beautiful, kind, smart, and selfless. She was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease a few years ago, and it has had a huge impact on our lives. She inspires me daily with her fight against this disease. She has been so tough and strong each and every day. We are hopeful of the advances that are being made in the management and treatment of kidney disease, but there is still a need for further research and development.

I am running on behalf of this foundation to raise funds that support the National Kidney Foundation. I am running for the hope that one day there will be better treatments and better management options. I am running for my little sister and the other 37 million people and their families who have been affected by kidney disease.

The photo above pictures my sister cheering me on at my first marathon. She made a sign that says, "my sister is a badass!", but she's the real badass who battles with kidney disease daily. I feel so honored to have the opportunity to run both for her and this cause. Please join me in the fight against kidney disease and to help make future advances possible by donating to my efforts!
