Three long years of waiting is over…2023 is finally here …and it’s the year I get to run the NYC Marathon!  Not only will I get to run 26.2 miles through the streets of the greatest city in the world, I am going to do it with the amazing support of all of you who helped me raise $3000 for the National Kidney Foundation during my initial fundraising and training in 2020!!!  

For those of you who have not heard my family’s story, it is safe to say that the National Kidney Foundation holds a forever special place in our hearts.  In 2013 after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune kidney disease, we were told that my mom would require a kidney transplant in order to continue to live a healthy life.  It was a scary and confusing time in all of our lives, however it was also a time where we all learned about the sacrifice of amazing people and the absolute miracle workers that make up transplant teams and support staff, in particular at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital in NYC.  Thanks to the selfless love of her brother, who was a living donor for my mom, the transplant was successful and we are preparing to celebrate their 10 year kidney-versary this summer 💜

I could not imagine running for and supporting a more meaningful cause as I embark on my marathon training for this amazing race on 11/5/23!  Team Kidney has recognized and carried your generosity over from my 2020 donations and allowed me to enter this fundraising effort for the 2023 marathon with my goal already fulfilled from your past donations! You all know who you are and how special each and every dollar donated to this cause is to me.  Any additional donations made will continue to support the amazing work of the National Kidney Foundation to help so many others have beautiful success stories like ours!  Words can’t describe how grateful I am for your support, NYC here we come!
